Our story began where every great one does...in a bar. We met through a mutual friend, Katie, at Tin Roof while we were both very committed to our own plans.

Kenzie had a strict “I’m leaving at midnight” policy. Maxx had a strict “I’m not leaving the bar next door until the Phillies (extra innings) game is over” policy. Naturally, he showed up right before midnight. One conversation later, Maxx paid the bar tab...a financial decision that really spiraled, and Kenzie decided staying out past midnight wasn’t actually so bad this time.

Somewhere between that night, buying a house, and raising a dog, we went from strangers, to best friends, to “shit, we should probably get married.” Moral of our story: plans are overrated, and you should always say yes to the guy who picks up the tab.
